Most moms wouldn’t trade parenting for anything

  • 94% of moms surveyed said that being a mom is “the best job I have.”

But being a mom isn’t easy

  • Most mothers (~70%) feel pressured to be a perfect parent.
  • A similarly large majority reported that they are doing the best they can as a mother.
  • 85% claimed that being a mother is the hardest job they have.
  • 75% of moms said that they would change something about being a mother, if they could.
    • - Moms most commonly wish they could focus more on enjoying the great little moments with their children.
  • The vast majority (67%) worry whether they are doing a good enough job.
  • About 60% sometimes feel like they are reaching their breaking point.
  • Half often feel overwhelmed by daily demands.
  • 1 in 3 mentioned they set unrealistic expectations for themselves as a parent.

And in some ways, it’s gotten harder

  • Most moms (60%) also feel raising kids is harder today compared to when they were growing up.
  • A majority reported the following reasons:
    • 69% kids growing up too fast
    • 65% peer pressure
    • 63% safety
